The Greene County Ram wrestling team finished in third place among nine teams at the Creston invitational tournament Jan. 11. Host Creston/Orient-Macksburg won with 308 points, followed by Dallas Center-Grimes at 288 points. The Rams had 175 points. The tournament was scored like a dual meet tournament with cumulative point totals for five rounds of wrestling.
Rams Dylan Forkner (126 pounds), Jordan Challen (132) and Tommy Bradshaw (138) were champions. Jeremy Scheuermann (152) placed second, with Hunter Ruth (170) and Tray Binkley (182) in third place in their respective weight classes.
The Rams host CMB and Saydel at home on Jan. 13 in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference make-up double dual. Wrestling begins at 6 pm.
